Set meeting with Tutor:
Empathy / Ideate / Test
I had a meeting with Tristam about my most recent ideas to get feedback on them and where to go from here. Tristam wasn't completely sure about the event idea and suggested looking more deeply into the app concept - flesh it out more and think of other design concepts that could link to it more fully. We discussed how to make my app more appropriate for supporting and getting support from other users within the LGBTQ community.
We came up with the idea of an app where you sign up as either a supporter or someone who needs support and through meeting people on the chat and then walking with them, people get support and help as well as gain friends within the community from it. After a person has gained a lot of support and their well being is back on track, they can change their settings to a supporter so they can pay it forward, and help other people in the community.
I was struggling before with how people would come to understand the app before they downloaded it so we thought of making a quick 30 second video that communicates this. This could also be a PowerPoint or a storyboard.
This would help the audience understand the app more easily with the visuals and voice over to guide them. This is a more fun way to make people interested in the app.
